Il bronzo, una lega rame-stagno, offre una buona robustezza e resistenza all'usura. Supportiamo gradi come bronzo fosforoso (C510, C521), bronzo all'alluminio (C954, C955) e bronzo al silicio (C655), adatti per cuscinetti, boccole e applicazioni marine.
Lo stampaggio a stampo progressivo è meno adatto per pezzi molto grandi o per cicli di produzione a basso volume a causa dei costi di installazione più elevati associati agli stampi. È più adatto per produzioni di volume medio-alto.
